Day 1 – Building Leadership Foundations

Leading Your Work Team
Develop the confidence to lead effectively by adapting your leadership style, motivating individuals and creating a positive team culture.
Workplace Communication
Strengthen communication skills to improve collaboration, build trust and ensure clear, consistent communication across the team.

Day 2 – Know how to support the team to achieve their full potential

Developing the work team 
Develop an understanding of developing the team and strengthening individual contributions to the team performance
Training and Coaching 
Understand how to train the team to undertake their role and when to coach to improve performance

Day 3 – Driving Team Performance

Improving Performance of the Work Team
Learn how to set clear expectations, establish SMART objectives, motivate individuals and improve team performance.
Planning and Monitoring 
How to plan your own time and ensure team tasks are delivered on time for the business

Day 4 – Understanding Change in the Workplace

Develop the confidence to lead teams through change by understanding different responses to change and supporting successful implementation in the workplace.
Appreciating how you can impact the mental health of your team and recognise the mental health in others 
To develop knowledge and understanding of mental health issues in the workplace
Assessment
Delegates achieve the ILM Level 2 Award by:
•    Attending both training days.
•    Successfully completing short written assessments for each module.
No formal examinations are required.

Progression Opportunities

The ILM Level 2 Certificate is a recognised qualification in its own right and provides flexible progression opportunities. Depending on individual career goals and organisational requirements, delegates may choose to:

  • Progress to the ILM Level 3 Certificate in Leadership and Team Skills to broaden their leadership knowledge and/or 
  • Move across to an HR focussed Level 3 ILM qualification should an HR position be the longer term goal.
  • Continue applying their learning to build experience and confidence within their current role.
